NAR Hits the Road

In March 2011, the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® leadership team will kick off a three-city bus tour to promote the benefits of home ownership. Each stop on the tour, part of the Home Ownership Matters campaign, will include two events designed to engage REALTORS® and consumers on key issues. The awareness this effort will raise will benefit REALTORS® and home owners nationwide.

Events

Here’s general information about the events on the tour. If you live in or near one of the tour cities, check back in the coming weeks for more details about how you can participate.

• REALTOR® Town Hall: At in-person town-hall meetings, NAR leadership will have a chance to hear directly from REALTORS® about the issues that matter to them and to continue the conversation that began with the first-ever virtual REALTOR® Town Hall meeting in January.
• Consumer Event: The bus-tour team will also pull up to a consumer event in each city on the tour to speak to the public about current housing issues, such as preserving the mortgage interest deduction and continuing federal support for home ownership, and invite them to join NAR's efforts.
